Ipamorelin 10mg
Pentapeptide ghrelin-receptor agonist studied for selective growth hormone secretagogue activity in GHS-R1a models.
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide, Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, built around non-natural residues: alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) at the N-terminus and the D-amino acids D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine. Its molecular weight is approximately 711.9 Da (formula C38H49N9O5, CAS 170851-70-4). It belongs to the growth hormone secretagogue family, which was developed from the earlier GHRP series.
Ipamorelin acts as an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHS-R1a), the ghrelin receptor first cloned from pituitary and hypothalamus in 1996. Its research interest comes from selectivity: in the original preclinical characterization, it stimulated growth hormone release from pituitary preparations and in animal models without the marked rise in ACTH or cortisol reported for some earlier secretagogues. It is used as a tool compound for ghrelin-receptor pharmacology and pituitary somatotroph signaling.
Each vial contains 10 mg of lyophilized peptide. A third-party certificate for this product is coming soon. Supplied for in-vitro research use only.
Research areas: Ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) pharmacology, Pituitary somatotroph signaling, Growth hormone secretagogue selectivity, Non-natural amino acid peptide design.
